At Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp you'll find a camp home where you not only have a great time, but you can learn new things, meet new friends, and discover the spirit of adventure, inside of you. At camp you'll get to know God in a new and fresh way, and learn that He loves you for who you are without condition or limitation! You will also learn the value of positive, healthy relationships from counselors who love you, want the best for you, and are there to make sure you and your friends have the best week ever.

A Staff with Commitment

Our camp is special because of our staff. Here, you'll find that our staff cares about YOU. They are there for you to listen and share. You are celebrated for your new achievements and your counselors are there to encourage you along the way. From the counselors, to the kitchen crew and support staff, they are an exceptional group of mature and responsible people who really love kids. They come from many different states, but they all come for one reason…to help you find a place to shine!

Is my Camper considered to be in 6th or 7th Grade?

We understand that the transition from elementary school to junior high is different for every child. If your camper is in that transition summer, you have the choice to have your camper stay with the 6th grade camps, or advanced to the 7th grade camps, depending on what you feel your camper is ready for. After all, who knows your camper better than you?

Dear (Camp Director),
"Our ten year old son, (Ben), just returned from a week at Pleasant Hill. To better understand the situation, I need to give you a little background. (Ben), our only child, was adopted from Russia at the age of 11 months. And up until last Sunday, he had never spent a night away from us. We are a little protective to say the least. We advised Chris, his counselor, to expect a few challenges and to call us if necessary. According to our son, Chris helped him through some very rough times. Because of his patience and kindness, (Ben) now has a new level of confidence and pride in his abilities. I am so impressed with the time Chris took to calm and reassure a very homesick child, helping him to overcome his fears and make it through the week. Many would have opted for the easy way out, leaving a child with a sense of failure that they would carry with them for a long time. We are so grateful to Chris for what he has given our son and would appreciate if you could pass that on to him."
