Dear Camp Friends,

After encountering God in a powerful way on New Year’s Eve 2022 in Miami, I left my career as a Software Engineer to wait on Him and seek His direction. I spent months walking the beaches of Florida, learning to listen and follow His lead. That direction came in the spring of 2023 when a friend invited me to join him at a summer camp in Ohio — a place I had never heard of before: Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp.

From the moment I arrived, something about this place captured me. It wasn’t just the beauty of the hills or the sound of the lake — it was the people, the purpose, and the unmistakable presence of God at work. PHOC became the first camp where I truly bonded with others over the intensity and impact of the ministry. I went on to serve at other camps across the country, but somehow, I kept finding my way back here. Each return felt like coming home.

Over time, it became clear that God was calling me not just to visit, but to plant roots — to serve this place and its mission more deeply. That call was confirmed in an incredible way as God brought Õnne-Liis into my life with perfect timing. We got married just three weeks ago, and her heart for people, her strength, and her faith have already become a vital part of what makes this next chapter possible.

So, with great excitement and gratitude, I’m writing to share that I’ve accepted the position of Executive Director of Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp.

As we step into this new season together, our vision is to continue building on the foundation so many of you have laid — to honor the legacy of faith, friendship, and transformation that has shaped this camp for generations. We believe God is still writing the story of Pleasant Hill, and we’re humbled to play a small part in what He’s doing here.
